Every article on Ecoxee is written to be practical, accurate, and safe to follow. This page explains how we create our content and the standards we hold it to.

How we research and test

Our guides are based on established, widely-accepted methods and hands-on experience. Where a technique is traditional rather than proven, we say so, and we give honest expectations rather than overpromising. Safety notes are included wherever a project involves tools, heat, sharp edges, small parts, or anything a reader should be cautious with.

How we choose the products we recommend

We recommend products on merit — usefulness, durability, and genuine eco value — and we call out trade-offs and greenwashing honestly. Many of our links are affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure), but commissions never influence what we recommend or how we rank it, and we do not accept payment to feature a product.

Our image policy

Our imagery is original and created in-house, including AI-generated illustrations produced for Ecoxee. We do not use unlicensed stock photography, and we never scrape images from other sites. Product images in our recommendation blocks are provided by the respective retailers.

Accuracy and corrections

If you spot an error, we want to fix it. Email us at support@ecoxee.com and we will review and, where needed, update the article. We revise our guides when methods or facts change.
